FINAL MEETING MINUTES FOR MARCH 31, 2026

UNIVERSITY GARDENS PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION

 

The Monthly Community Meeting of the Board of University Gardens Property Owners Association was called to order at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, by Board President, Wen Yang

I.  Approval of Agenda

The meeting agenda was distributed via email and unanimously approved.

 

II. Review of Previous Minutes

The minutes from the previous meeting are not available.  It will be reviewed at the next meeting.

 

III. Reports

An updated financial statement was presented by the Treasurer and reviewed by the Board.

 

IV. Continuing Business

 

BOARD MEMBER UPDATE

      Due to a recent resignation, the Board needs to fill one vacant seat.

 

POOL UPDATE

      The Board had a call with Aquatech and reviewed the performance for last year. 

o   We need a more responsible managing lifeguard and the supervisor to be on site more frequently.

o   The lifeguards need to clean the pool more frequently and are stationed at the front gate to check in guests.

o   Share copy of lifeguard schedule and updated rulebook.

      Contact Jennosa to prepare chemicals for pool opening.

 

CLUB IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

      Contact Ed Ferry to replace the broken water meter for the pool house.

      Contact Ample Irrigation to turn on sprinklers and water to the facility.

      Discussed the fence replacement by the playground and retaining wall projects.  We have received a proposal from APEX and are still waiting for a quote from Gallo.

 

 

QUALITY OF LIFE

      A resident asked about installing a carport canopy.  The Board doesn’t object as long as it is not visible from streets. Residents need to check with the Town of North Hempstead for any permitting requirements.

      Our neighborhood patrol, Maria, is retiring soon.  The Board will check if there will be a replacement from the precinct.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 8:00 PM at the Firehouse.
